The Gaze

Team : Saurabh Mhatre |Malika Singh | Matty James|Heamin Kim

‘The Gaze’ is located in Haixinsha Island, in the center of Guangzhou, China. The island was the site of the 2010 Asian games for which 3 billion yuans were spent. The island is surrounded by the city’s most iconic architecture, and located at the intersection of the city’s two main axes: the historic water axis of the Pearl River, and the new Planned axis of the central business district, Zhujiang New Town. But after the games the island with its vast infrastructure and transport line is dead and is underutilised. 'The Gaze' is designed to act as an attractor and pull people to the island to revitalize and regenerate the island while providing the people with a Digital Window to their city.
